Take the long way home.

So it’s Friday -- the end of another long and tedious week at work. I was feeling great today and rode the bike to work. For the commute home I decided to take the long way home. Oddly enough, “The long way home” is also a song by Supertramp.

...yet I digress...

Anyway, 19.7 miles and 1:40 minutes later which is approximately 8.3 miles and 40+/- minutes more than I usually travel I arrived home.

The ride was “easier” thanks to my new rear cassette gearing but it was still challenging what w/carrying a 30lb. pack that I carry all the crap I need for the day and having the legs cramp about half way up the bike route along the 56...but it was good.

Total mileage today: 30.81 miles.

*whew!
